Another Coach Sacked! Gomes, Harrop, and Willock’s progress – Manchester United Youth Review

Here’s this week’s Youth Review, from the two academy derbies, to the Premier League International Cup, it’s all in here, and we have to talk about the manner in which the club treats its employees. It’s out of order! Clayton Blackmore has been sacked by email, which is not the greatest way for anyone to be sacked. Respect is something that needs to be given to any member of staff, whether they are to be retained or not. Change happens, but the manner of this one will leave a bad taste in the mouths of many. Manchester United’s youth teams have done well over the last few weeks with the U18’s winning 5-1, 5-1 and 5-3 in recent weeks, falling to Manchester City at the weekend. The Reserves beat Villarreal in the Premier League International Cup, then beat Derby County in dramatic style at Old Trafford on Monday night, taking the lead three times to win 3-2. The past few seasons have not been the greatest for the youth, despite the U21’s winning and retaining the league title, it is the U18 side that has struggled with injuries, players being promoted and some bad form. This season, things are changing, and they are changing fast. Here is this week’s Youth Review.
