Confirmed Starting XI: Rashford leads the line against Leeds; supported by Greenwood, Mata, and James

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United face Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United in the second pre-season match of the summer to be played at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. United beat Perth Glory 2-0 with goals from Marcus Rashford and James Garner on Saturday. The United squad will head to Singapore after this match to ready themselves for the opening International Champions Cup match against Inter Milan.

United last met Leeds on the 20 September 2011 in the League Cup, a 3-0 victory for United with a brace from Michael Owen and Ryan Giggs closing the scoring indie the first half of the match. United’s last defeat to Leeds was the years before in the FA Cup, a 1-0 defeat. In competitive matches, United has beaten Leeds 46 times, drawn 35 times and lost 26 times in all competitions.

United will be looking to find the form to start the season well, but will have to focus on the pre-season fixtures against Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur, Kristiansund and AC Milan which all come before the Premier League opener at Old Trafford in which Solskjaer’s United will take on Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.
