Confirmed Starting XI: Wilson leads the line against Everton; Kehinde, Riley & Mitchell start

Manchester United U23’s face Everton in the Premier League 2 at the MerseyRail Community Stadium in Southport this evening. United, fresh from their 1-1 draw with Manchester City last weekend, will be seeking a return to winning ways, sitting in tenth place in the league, with just nine points on the board. Everton sit in third place, eight points off the top spot, held by Liverpool at this stage of the season. United have not been in the best form in this league, losing three, drawing once and winning one of their last five matches. Ricky Sbragia, on his first season back at the club, has not seen his team play to their abilities with many passengers at this level at the club.

Substitutes:

Richardson, Warren, Gribbin, Boonen, Bohui

United will not be able to win the Premier League 2 this season, sitting 18 points adrift of the summit of the table with ten matches played so far this season. Relegation is still an option with goal difference and a point stopping United from sitting right at the bottom of the table. United’s players at this level will need to stand up and be counted if they are to turn the season around, which seems unlikely after the recent performances.
