Gareth Bale urges Cristiano Ronaldo to snub Manchester United!

Cristiano Ronaldo

Sky Sports have reported that Gareth Bale has urged Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo to snub Manchester United and stay at the Santiago Bernabéu. Bale had spoken to Sky Sports whilst on international duty with Wales as they face Bosnia-Herzegovina and Cyprus in the European Championship qualifiers during the international break.

Cristiano Ronaldo had been impressive so far for Real Madrid this season and he has netted 13 league goals already also scoring his  twenty-second hat-trick in the La Liga since joining from Manchester United in 2009 for a world record (at the time) £80 million.

Bale has no doubt that Ronaldo will stay at Real Madrid and not return to England in the summer. Speaking to Sky Sports, Bale said:

“Definitely not.

“He’s shown what a world-class player he is year after year scoring the goals.

“Obviously he’s a player we wouldn’t want to see leave.

“Of course, (I) want to see him stay at Real Madrid.”

Bale has rubbished talks of him leaving Real Madrid and returning to the Premier League, even to Manchester United in the summer. Bale said:

“I signed a six-year deal last year so I don’t really think so.”

The Welsh midfielder made 44 appearances for his club last season in all competitions scoring 22 goals. His best goal last season has to be the one from the UEFA Champions League final against Atlético Madrid followed by the solo run in the Copa del Rey against Barcelona. It just shows that he is capable of some great football at times.
