Manchester United to battle Arsenal in the Jadon Sancho chase

Jadon Sancho is the name everyone has in mind when it comes to the transfer market in the Academy level this summer. Sancho just at the age of seventeen has dragged everyone’s attention with his fine performances the previous season and of course the incredible Euro U17’s tournament he had as England sadly lost the final in penalties. When you have this kind of player in your hands, well it’s obvious you don’t want him to leave, but everything is being done wrong when it comes to him.

The Manchester City youngster had it all except for a chance to play in City’s pre-season tour, an opportunity the likes of Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden had. It was strange to see him dropped from that team and this wasn’t taken well from the youngster as he has refused to train with the squad. This has caused for rumours to start all over as both Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in signing the English winger.

Jadon has reportedly refused to sign a new contract as well and he has become an issue at the club. These rumours are yet to be believable as City may not allow his departure to their biggest opponents but Sancho seems irritated with the latest situation. A teenager like him who helped City reach the FA Youth Cup final did really well for the U18’s and also impressed for the U23’s as well is a bit stupid to think he might leave. Everything started from a tweet from Gary Neville who went on to speak about City’s youngster after the pre-season Manchester derby. Well, the rumours are based on a few reports that were a bit controversial in the beginning but since the situation isn’t getting solved, Jadon Sancho may want to leave.

Would he choose Manchester United over Arsenal if he were to leave? The way I see it is that City’s modernisation in facilities hasn’t changed their old fashioned way of buying talent. In the past years, we have watched incredibly City youngsters, very talented who haven’t had the chance to play in the first team. This is what Manchester United offers him. Accused of not playing and giving youth a chance, Jose Mourinho has turned things upside down, giving those who he liked, a chance and keeping others in ‘tension’ in case that there would be an opportunity. Given the situation, Jadon Sancho would be in favour of a move not far away and feel estimated of what he has to offer.

Well, answering the question, Sancho would be looking for glory and Manchester United can offer this to him. A group of talented youngsters are now part of the U23’s and U18’s and together they can do wonders. As much as I would like the deal to happen, these rumours are a bit misleading, however, United will try and defeat Arsenal and get the talented Jadon Sancho from Manchester City.

This rumour has been going for days now and there is still a lot to understand from the news. Giving up from the talented youngster is hard but as The Sun suggests nothing is impossible at this stage as the player is truly upset about what happened. There is more to come in the following days and we only have to wait and see if he is on the verge to sign. If he signs, Jadon Sancho would be an amazing addition to the Academy. His talent was noticed since his Watford days and he continues to impress.
