Mkhitaryan, Rashford and Martial start against Manchester City

Manchester United will be pitted against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this evening. It will be the third Manchester derby of the season, the second in the league. United have won one, in the EFL Cup and lost one, in the league. There is all to play for this evening, however, with United a point behind City in with a chance of earning a top four place with a victory this evening, still with a game in hand over Liverpool, who start the evening in third place in the league. United still have two chances to earn a UEFA Champions League place this season, through the league and by winning the Europa League, of which United have a semi-final berth against Spanish side Celta de Vigo with the first leg being played in Spain in a weeks time. Jose Mourinho’s side is plagued by injury with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo suffering knee injuries a week ago, with many more still on the sidelines.

United and City have played 173 matches in the history of the clubs, contesting the kings of Manchester. United have won 72 matches, drawn 51 and lost 50. Jose Mourinho’s side will need to put in a performance similar to that against Chelsea at Old Trafford just over a week ago, which saw United then beat Anderlecht, albeit after extra time, then Burnley, which puts them on a significant winning run. 23 matches in the Premier League have seen United unbeaten, last losing to Chelsea back in October. Mourinho and his squad will want to keep that run going, adding the 24th match to it this evening. Come on UNITED!
