Paul Pogba has a desire to return to Juventus; talks scheduled with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer next week – reports

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly told his former Juventus teammates that he wants to return to the Serie A club this summer. The 26-year-old was at Andrea Barzagli’s 38th birthday party in Turin in May and that was where he told his former teammates, at least according to reports in Italy.

It has been a period of unhappiness for Pogba at United with reports that he wanted to leave the club last summer in order to sign for Barcelona then reports this summer that a move to Real Madrid was what the player wanted, however, in recent days, a return to Juventus seems to be the most likely scenario for the FIFA World Cup winner.

Sport Witness has also reported that Spanish newspaper, Marca has suggested that Pogba will meet United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer next week when he returns to pre-season training ahead of the pre-season tour which will see United head to Australia, where they play their first two matches of the summer against Perth Glory and Leeds United.

It is suggested that in the meeting with Solskjaer, Pogba will ‘reiterate his desire’ for a transfer this summer. Pogba will be hoping that Solskjaer will decide that an exit for the French midfielder will be the best option for the club which would then facilitate the move to wherever it is he will want to head to in the coming week.

Real Madrid is said to still hold an interest in signing Pogba this summer, however, they will need to meet United’s fee, which has been suggested is £150 million. Juventus or whoever will need to meet the same fee with United seemingly not backing down, which is the way they will need to be. Every other club is getting what they can out of United so United doing the same is perfectly fine.

Many United supporters would like to keep Pogba at the club this summer as they see him as the best player. However, he has the consistency as Nani did when he was at the club so if Pogba had the desire to play for United, he would be putting in the effort 100% of the time, not playing when he wanted too, which going by the last few months of last season, was not all that often.
