Ratings: Johnstone, McTominay and Harrop shine in Liverpool draw

Manchester United U23’s drew 1-1 with Liverpool at Leigh Sports Village on Tuesday night, a second draw for United in two days, against the same team. Josh Harrop scored United’s equalised from the spot after Scott McTominay was brought down in the area. Liverpool took the lead within 18 minutes of the match starting through harry Wilson, with a great effort. United seem to be lacking something this season without a true striker, which is something Warren Joyce has been trying to sort, playing Matty Willock as the striker once again as the lad seems to have all the ingredients to play there, but without a true striker in the team, United may still miss out this season. Liverpool were a good challenge for United and the fact a draw was earned, it will keep United in the mix this season, which may end in them not winning the Premier League 2 title, something they have done for the past two seasons. Sam Johnstone had a good match, putting in some great saves David De Gea would be proud of. United face Arsenal at Leigh Sports Village next Monday, which will be an interesting match.
