Ratings: Matic and Lukaku brilliant, while Pogba and Martial do it all perfect in the end

Manchester United started their Premier League campaign in style as they scored four goals and they secured the first spot in the league at the moment. Romelu Lukaku scored two goals proving everyone that he is capable of doing great things in the league and his bond with Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba is absolutely amazing.

A brilliant game from the defense as well while Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata were there to cause danger around. Marcus Rashford was again unlucky as he couldn’t his best with the ball flying off the post several times. A surprise was saved at the end of the match as again, Anthony Martial needed 10 minutes to make an impression. One incredible goal and great build up play, tearing the defense apart. A deserved goal from Paul Pogba and here we are back in great times.

As we enjoy this, here are the player ratings for today’s game:

Manchester United

1 David De Gea

Clean sheet for the Spaniard today. Only had a couple of difficult minutes, yet Dave saved. Great save in the last minutes of the first half to keep the game 1-0. Wasn't seen much in the game, it was a quiet game.

12345

25 Antonio Valencia

This player is absolutely amazing. Hardworking and his work on the right is great. Few brilliant crosses from the Ecuadorian that kept the game in its natural dynamism.

12345

3 Eric Bailly

He didn't do anything wrong all the game, some good clearances from the player. A real powerhouse and he made Jones feel more secure.

12345

4 Phil Jones

The English when fit, is a joy to watch. You're not afraid he would do anything stupid and his decision making was great.

12345

17 Daley Blind

It was just West Ham but he kept the ball well and was calm. Again we saw him doing really well as he was reading the game several times. Needed confidence and it seemed he did a great job.

12345

31 Nemanja Matic

Absolutely stunned. Ball possession, the control was fantastic and you would see him everywhere. These were the reasons why he was a key player at Chelsea and remains one at Manchester United. Terrific.

12345

6 Paul Pogba

An absolute five for Pogba. His holding role seemed unsuitable but I was so wrong. Those interceptions were great and the combination with Lukaku was amazing as well. This is what he needed, that finish was a great way to finish this marvelous performance.

12345

8 Juan Mata

We missed the Mata factor around and in just one game you would see him cause danger around. The player may not posses speed but his smart play can get you anywhere. Unlucky to score.

12345

22 Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The Armenian keeps learning and we couldn't be happier. Those runs were what we missed from him and he just did incredibly well. Good times ahead.

12345

19 Marcus Rashford

He keeps trying yet is hard for him to concentrate in the most important moments. Need time as he isn't even 20 yet, but he should finish those chances. Brilliant ball in the first Lukaku goal.

12345

9 Romelu Lukaku

Connection great, finishing was awesome. This player is just what we needed to make the perfect impact in the game. Two goals and one assist. Brilliant start of the Premier League.

Substitutes

27 Marouane Fellaini

Came in for Mata. Did his job quite well.

12345

11 Anthony Martial

His presence was noticed immediately. 10 minutes even though may not be enough for us, for him are more than enough to score and leave his mark on the left. Brilliant!

12345

14 Jesse Lingard

Didn't have enough minutes to make an impact.
