Ratings: Sanchez MOTM, Carrick and Lingard closely followed; Gomes a class act

Manchester United beat Yeovil Town 4-0 in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup and are into Monday’s fifth round draw. Key Moments: 100 games for Jose Mourinho, 150 appearances for Ander Herrera, and Alexis Sanchez’s debut

Jose Mourinho managed his 100th match for Manchester United, on his 55th birthday. Ander Herrera made his 150th appearance for United. The last time he faced Yeovil, he was on the scoresheet breaking the deadlock after the hour mark of the match, as he was again in this match.

Alexis Sanchez made his Manchester United debut against Yeovil Town, the first time United have fielded a number seven since Memphis Depay played his last match for the club against Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa League on the 24th November 2016. Sanchez registered his first assist for United for Herrera’s goal in the 61st minute.

Marcus Rashford scored his first goal in 11 matches, the consolation goal against Manchester City on the 10th December, to put United 1-0 up against Yeovil Town in the 41st minute of the match. Ander Herrera scored his 16th goal for United to mark his 150th appearance for the club in the 61st minute of the match, assisted by Sanchez.

Angel Gomez made his debut in the Emirates FA Cup, replacing Marcus Rashford in the 88th minute of the match, nearly scoring in his first attack. United then made it 3-0 through Jesse Lingard in the 89th minute, his 12th goal this season, assisted by Matteo Darmian before Romelu Lukaku was set up by Marcos Rojo in stoppage time, the Belgian scoring his 18th goal this season.

Man of the Match: Alexis Sanchez

The Chilean became the first from his country to play for United ths evening in Yeovil. During the majority of his time on the pitch, he was playing all over and was the main man trying to orchestrate his side to victory. He gave the ball away a few times in the first half, but also demanded the ball from his teammates at times, looking to create or even score. It will be a big job to fill that famous number seven shirt, with many players failing to find their best form which donning the number. Cristiano Ronaldo was the last player to set the world alight in that shirt, Sanchez has what it takes to eclipse that feat.

Manchester United

22 Sergio Romero

The Argentinian kept a clean sheet, United's sixth in a row, five in 2018 alone. Made a few saves in the first half, seldom had anything to do in the second.

12345

Matteo Darmian

Darmian struggled against this League Two side and was exposed at times as United's weak link. Will not have impressed, even with his assist for United's third. Needs to go in the summer.

12345

2 Victor Lindelof

The Swede was tested a few times but also had his own position and the right-back role to keep an eye on. Played a good game and it will help build is confidence.

12345

16 Marcos Rojo

Was fouled in the first minute and gave a good physical battle. Got an assist in added time and played to the best of his abilities. A clean sheet well deserved.

12345

23 Luke Shaw

Shaw played well, was composed and quick on his feet. Played well on the left with Sanchez. Will have impressed the manager.

12345

16 Michael Carrick

Hard to spot the fact he had not played for four months. Literally ran the entire midfield. Good to see him back in what will be his final season as a United player.

12345

21 Ander Herrera

Got his second goal at Hush Park, three years after his first. He was difficult for Yeovil to handle and did the dirty work for Carrick. Great game for the Spaniard.

12345

8 Juan Mata

Helped United tick and made some good passes. Scored himself but it was ruled offside.

12345

39 Scott McTominay

The Academy graduate nearly scored but the Yeovil keeper made the save. Looked dangerous at times. Was booked for a challenge and seemingly riding his luck late on.

12345

Alexis Sanchez

Man of the Match for me. The Chilean worked hard and clearly lacked match fitness but continued to do his thing. Got an assist on his debut, unlucky not to score a goal.

12345

10 Marcus Rashford

Scored the opening goal cooly and calmly from inside the box. Played in three positions throughout the game. His confidence will be boosted after not scoring since the 10th December.

12345

Substitutes

Romelu Lukaku

Replaced Mata 65'. Bagged his 18th goal of the season deep in injury time. Pressured the League Two side and will be ready for Spurs on Wednesday.

12345

14 Jesse Lingard

Replaced Sanchez 72'. Scored his 12th goal of the season with a sublime strike. One of the most improved players at the club this season.

12345

28 Angel Gomes

Replaced Rashford 88'. Got his FA Cup debut, playing two minutes plus stoppage time. Could have scored on his first attack, which hit the side netting. Mourinho has spotted his potential.
