It seems that in light of the recent departure of David Moyes at Old Trafford it’s not just the managerial position that maybe vacant at the end of the season.
With constant links of in-comings and out-goings, United’s transfer business seems evidently large this summer. One possible move that was reported by the Daily Express this morning was, that Robin Van Persie may be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer to Serie A club Juventus:
“Juventus are considering selling Arsenal and Chelsea target Paul Pogba this summer because they believe the £60m the Frenchman’s sale would generate would enable them to make moves for Manchester United pair Robin van Persie and Nani.
“Top of the Turin side’s list is Dutch striker van Persie who was unsettled by David Moyes’ arrival at Old Trafford and may yet push for a move away from the club depending on who replaces the Scot.”
From the recent announcement of the sacking of David Moyes it is still not sure whether it will affect any of the transfer business for the Reds this summer. It is being reported that United possibly have a couple of transfers near completion, but as to whether unhappy players are still wanting to possibly leave is unknown. If the reports of Louis Van Gaal ideally becoming the next United manager are true, it might warrant a stay from fellow Dutchman Van Persie.
But just as recent as March, Van Persie was forced to deny any problems with life at Old Trafford stating:
“The truth is I’m very happy here at this club.
“I signed for four years and I’d be delighted to stay even longer, beyond the next two years I have left on my contract.”
With recent developments within Old Trafford it might have given Juventus aswell as other interested clubs a green light into pursuing possible transfer targets within Manchester United.
