Starting XI: Everton v Manchester United – Emirates FA Cup 2015/16

Manchester United face Everton in the Emirates FA Cup at Wembley this evening, the most important match of the season so far. United are 90 minutes away from an FA Cup final, of which they could realistically lift their first cup since 2004, also their first since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. Everton have been beaten twice by United this season and were humiliated by Liverpool 4-0 in midweek, which could either see the team continue the same performances of late or turn it around. Everton may be down, but they are not out, yet! Roberto Martinez might be on the brink at the club after seeing protests calling for him to be sacked, despite the Evertonian fans lauding his as ‘better than Moyes’ a few season’s ago. Today could see United propel themselves to the final of the FA Cup, where glory could await them. The top four chase seems very much on, though, with Manchester City extending their lead to five points over United, who have a game in hand. United need to stand up and be counted over the coming weeks. Their participation in the UEFA Champions League depends on it.
