Starting XI: Manchester City v Manchester United – Barclays Premier League 2015/16

Manchester United return to Barclays Premier League action against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, the second Manchester derby of the season. Earlier in the season, United and City drew 0-0 at Old Trafford. Last season, United beat City 4-2 at Old Trafford and lost 1-0 at the Etihad; a match which saw Chris Smalling sent off and Marcos Rojo dislocate his shoulder. Both Manchester clubs are in similar positions this season, neither have a good chance of winning the Premier League, which for City is a bigger problem than for United, as they have been poor all season, City have had fits and starts drawing their last two matches 0-0 (in all competitions). United could earn bragging rights and reward their supporters with a derby win, after losing to West Bromwich Albion a fortnight ago in the league, then losing to Liverpool at Anfield in the UEFA Europa League, before drawing 1-1 with West Ham United in the Emirates FA Cup, earning a replay, then being knocked out of the Europa League by Liverpool with a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Thursday. United are in dire straits, but a win could see them lift morale, a little, and possible use that to finish the season on a high.
