Starting XI: Manchester United v Everton – Barclays Premier League

Manchester United face local opposition at Old Trafford today with the visit of Everton to the Theatre of Dreams. It is an early start for me on holiday in Orlando, but it will be well worth it should Louis van Gaal’s side win against opposition that did the double over the club last season ending up in Europe. Roberto Martinez’s side have not had a great start and their midweek trip to Russia could pose them some problems, but could also be an advantage against a team that has not played for a week. United will be up for taking the points at home after successfully despatching Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United in recent weeks, but the capitulation against Leicester City could be on Everton’s minds if they want to look for an advantage and try to earn all three points at Old Trafford again.

Here are the starting eleven and list of substitutes for both sides:

Manchester United:

1. De Gea;

2. Rafael, 33. McNair, 5. Rojo, 3. Shaw;
