Starting XI: Manchester United v Middlesbrough – Barclays U21 Premier League 2015/16

Manchester United return to action in the Barclays U21 Premier League at Old Trafford tonight against Middlesbrough in their final home match of the season. Last week, United drew 1-1 with Chelsea, a team they still face away from home after the match before the international break was postponed. United also face Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in a weeks time and Southampton at St Mary’s in a fortnight. Top of the league Sunderland have a match left to play this season and they lead United by four points, with United having three games in hand, which will still be the case later on this evening as Sunderland face Spurs. Three points for United this evening is a must to ensure they are able to retain the league title this season, which could be something that happens as early as next week, providing Sunderland lose or draw this evening. Failing that, it could take a few weeks for United to be crowned – if that is how the season pans out.
