Starting XI: Shaw and Wilson start for Manchester United U23’s against Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur in their third Premier League 2 match of the season. United have started the season undefeated with a 1-0 victory over Leicester City just under a fortnight ago which was followed by a 1-1 draw with Swansea City on Monday evening. United’s U23’s will be looking for some stability under the guidance of Ricky Sbragia this season after underachieving last season, playing without a recognised striker. Luke Shaw is involved in the squad again in a bid to regain his fitness and fight for his place in the first team this season. James Wilson is back in contention too after his season from hell with his loan spell, ending in injury for him. Here are the starting XI’s for both teams this evening:

Manchester United:

Olosunde, Warren, Tuanzebe, Shaw;

Hamilton, McTominay;

Bohui, Boonen, Mitchell;

Sang, M. Johnstone, Whelan, Buffonge, Scott

Tottenham Hotspur:

Eyoma, Tanganga, Brown, Bennetts;

Pritchard, Skipp, Amos;

Edwards, Tracey;

Loft, O’Reilly, Duncan, Shashoua, Marsh

United will be looking for a victory over Spurs again this evening in a bid to contend in this league this season. United lost out to Everton last season, who piped Manchester City to the title despite their all singing and all dancing Academy, which nobody seems to make it through to the first team, which equates to the need to buy four fullbacks in one summer after releasing most of the ones the club had. Poor business that, but that is what massive clubs do, aparently.
