Manchester United U23’s face Southampton at St Mary’s in the Premier League 2 this evening. United beat Leicester City 1-0 at Leigh Sports Village a week ago with a stunning goal scored by Demetri Mitchell. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, United’s left-back last week has since made a loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers and will not play for Warren Joyce’s side this evening. James Wilson looks set for a switch to Derby County for the season too, so Joyce’s side lack a striker unless Will Keane is drafted in, but that would be doubtful. United will be looking to match the first team, who beat Southampton 2-0 at Old Trafford on Friday evening. Here are the starting XI and lists of substitutes for both teams this evening.
