Starting XI: Wigan Athletic v Manchester United – Pre-Season Friendly 2016

Manchester United play their first pre-season friendly of the summer against Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium on Saturday afternoon. After a tough season with the boring football under the management of Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho was brought in to steer United back to the top after three seasons of stuttering football which has seen United fail to reach the Champions League twice in three attempts. Mourinho will manage his first match as United manager, minus many of the clubs first team stars. Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, two of the club’s three new signings this summer should make their debuts for the Red Devils, with many youth players also coming into the fold.
