CONFIRMED: Tuanzebe, Poole, Riley & Willock start against Arsenal

Manchester United U23 face Arsenal in the Premier League 2 at Leigh Sports Village on Monday evening. Just under a week ago, United earned a 1-1 draw with Liverpool in a hard-fought match with their North West rivals. United have not won at this level since the 3-2 victory over Derby County at Old Trafford on the 19th September. A week after that win, United were beaten 2-0 by Everton in Southport, which shows how the squad is faring without and out-and-out striker being available. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is fit, but not match fit and has missed the last three first team matches, in which he was expected to be involved in at least one. Memphis Depay needs game time, as do a few other fringe first team players. United have many fixtures to encounter in this period of the season, but players also need match fitness in order to get ready to be available for the first team, when needed. Jose Mourinho should allow some of his fringe first team players to reinforce the U23 squad, which will help the youngsters learn something else from their experiences too. Here are the starting XI and list of substitutes for both teams this evening.

Manchester United:

Williams, Tuanzebe, Poole, Riley;
