VIDEO: Derby Day Recap, Tactics & FA Youth Cup Preview | Manchester United Youth Review

Manchester United drew 2-2 with Manchester City on Saturday at Carrington; here’s a recap of that game and a tactical look forward to the FA Youth Cup game at Old Trafford.

United’s U18 play in an important fixture on Monday night at Old Trafford – The FA Youth Cup. This season, United’s U18’s are a great side in the making, playing some fluid and attacking football, with the ability to score goal after goal. The FA Youth Cup is a competition they could win this season, but will probably have to beat Manchester City, who are also tipped to go all the way to the final, but anything can happen. United face Southampton, a team who won the competition not all that long ago, which will make it a tough match, providing the visitors are still playing some good football at this level. United will be up for the challenge though. The likes of Angel Gomes, Indy Boonen, Nishan Burkart, Tahith Chong et al will be looking to dominate the match, turning it into just another high scoring victory before the end of the year. The U18’s recently endured a 2-2 draw with Manchester City in the Premier League U18, which will see them playing only once more after Monday’s match before the end of the year. The visit to West Bromwich Albion on the 17th December will be their final match of the year.
