March Review: Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw put in great performances as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was given the job

Manchester United played five matches in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and the Emirates FA Cup in March, winning three and losing twice. United scored nine goals, conceded eight goals, kept no clean sheets, won six Premier League points, exited the FA Cup but earned a Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was also given the permanent position as United manager in March, guiding his team back to winning ways after back to back defeats in the Premier League and the FA Cup. United, though, will need to be on top of their game, especially defensively, after a poor month of conceding goals and losing important matches.

During March, United had four different goal scorers and three players with assists; Romelu Lukaku scored four goals, Marcus Rashford scored twice, Andreas Pereira and Anthony Martial both scored one each. In terms of assists, Luke Shaw got two, Diogo Dalot and Andreas Pereira got one each. No clean sheets were kept in March.

He then scored a brace against Paris Saint-Germain inside 30 minutes, which helped put United into the quarter-finals. He missed the two matches due to injury.
